Job Description
The Associate position will play a key role in executing work and generating ideas for a variety of Conexión clients. This individual will work closely with senior members of the Conexión team to meet client goals for engagement while supporting efforts to develop new partnerships.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Draft press materials for clients – in English and Spanish – including press releases, talking points, op-eds, social media copy, and more
- Pitch stories and develop relationships with reporters, producers and on-air personalities to advance narratives and elevate Conexión clients and partners
- Be an active, collaborative participant in client meetings
- Generate ideas for keeping clients fresh and relevant in the news cycle
Qualifications:
- Superb writing, editing, and communications skills in English and Spanish
- Experience pitching or working with reporters
- Ability to seamlessly manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- A high degree of comfort for working in a fast-paced, fluid environment where priorities can quickly change
- Strong news sense and knowledge of the media
- A personal commitment to progressive change-making and electing Democrats up and down the ballot
Salary Range:
$70,000 to $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with comprehensive employee benefits package including healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off.
